I am a Bangladeshi and I have so many friends living in the USA. It is cutthroat. I want to add one thing. When you have an H1B Visa, you must remember it is a visa. Not any permit. So if you go back to your country for like a vacation, then you have to get the visa again from your home country. Idk how easy it is in India to get an appointment at the US Embassy, but for Bangladesh, it can take months to even get an appointment. No company will keep you if you are away for months. So, there ie essentially no way for these people to visit home. My friend spent 5 years in PhD, 3 years working but he cannot come home to attend his only brother's wedding.
